Marquez Beason will soon hit the portal. A great guy and a talented young man who WILL find his way. I think a place like UTSA would be a great fit but I expect more and more as these next weeks progress. Coach Bielema and staff have had 1 on 1 meetings with players to talk about where they are at this season and how they feel about their future at Illinois.

Do kids just want a jump on the onslaught that happens at the end of the year? Seasons almost over. Why not wait and take advantage of the weight training and other things they have access too.

It's a lot to ask a kid who isn't playing, on a losing team to keep an insane academic standard. Especially when they are not happy here. Let them get in the portal and figure out where they want to be next semester (2 months)
