Many are not aware of the turnover that Illinois football is about to go through. And like it or not we are going to lose some talent that hasn't been given a chance, to the portal. If we look at the numbers as they sit.
22 Super Seniors (Gone)
20 Regular Seniors (only 5 or 6 I would ask back).
8 underclass transfers (average, likely higher)
Just by these numbers Illinois realistically could be looking at 40+ players they will have to add either through recruits and the portal. Either way the team as we know it will not be anywhere close to what we have, come next fall. One thing I can guarantee is the fan base won't be very happy with some of the names that hit the portal. Not to mention a very strong belief that Chase Brown will test the NFL waters.
