While the season hasn’t gone exactly as most had hoped, there is still a class of 2022 that the Illinois football needs to button up. Landing a player like Elijah Davis would help give us the much-needed boost.
Davis is a 6’1”, 165 lbs. safety from Auburndale High School. Auburndale is 7-0 and are a top team in the state of Florida. He is rated as a three-star recruit and ranked as a top-1000 player. He was a previous USF commit but backed off his commitment on June 4th.
With five official visits in the holster, Davis has only used one visit back in June when he took a trip to Iowa State. Since then, he has not taken a single official visit. That will all change since he will be taking an official visit to Illinois on the weekend of October 29th.
