Illinois 2022 priority DL target Selah Brown from Louisville (Male HS), named his top 3 schools this evening. Illinois Was included along with Northwestern and the hometown team Louisville Cardinal.
One would think, Louisville leads right? All the crystal balls are saying UL. I’m told differently, especially with a very possible coaching change of Scott Satterfield after the season. That would all but push Selah somewhere else. I’m told by close sources that he’s waiting for seasons end to decide and announce and that Illinois and a coaching staff who will 100% be back next season, with a slim chance Tony Petersen could be replaced if things get worse the last 5 games. Anyways, he’s being prioritized as a difference maker and immediate impact guy. He knows he will play right away at Illinois. It doesn’t hurt Illinois has produced two pro players from Male High school and Illinois offering his junior teammate when they came to visit the school on Thursday. The Illinois staff Visited Garden City Community College in Kansas and Iowa Central College. The Illini focused specifically on OL at Iowa Central, They were looking at Max McCree, Jasper Friis and Reggie Young. They will be keeping tabs on them the rest of the season. Don’t be surprised if offers come in the next 4-6 weeks. That’s shows you they know they need fill in immediate help with so many seniors leaving after this year. Obviously QB is another with DL and WR.
