I'd say Pence is a real target, yes, unless someone jumps ahead of him like Jalen Hooks for example. Pence is a really good shooter and surprisingly athletic at 6'6". Wants to go to IL and has offers from Drake, Loyola and MSU is hovering...he unofficially visited a few weeks ago. I think he's a real B1G prospect but that's just my opinion.

Re: Lieb lol Idk. I don't really get it TBH. If I were him I'd be killing it in a different conference but IL is his dream school. Maybe he pulls a Mav Morgan on us and develops an insane baseline 16 foot jumpshot and finds court time that way. Otherwise I think he's too thin to play the 5 and too slow to play the 4

I’m sure Epps and Harris know him or have seen him around the way. Wouldn’t hurt if Ayo nudged him too

Yeah where's Hawkins and the current players reaching out and recruiting? This is what worries me behind the scenes. Maybe they don't like him?

One REAL LIVE target left in the 2022 class and he's a teammate of Kylan Boswell at AZ Compass Prep. It's 3* 7'0" Center Adrame Diongue and he'd be a heck of a pickup. That said I'd be very surprised if it happened anytime soon given that he hasn't visited campus. I did read an article a few months ago that he liked Illinois and was seriously considering it. We'll see

Just looked into this today and it sounds like its Loyola, Iowa State or (potentially) Iowa for him. We're just not interested in another Guard in the 23 class at this point unless they're SPECIAL

2022 Adrame Diongue is only talking to 4 schools about the next level. Texas/Texas Tech/IL & Kansas. Scheduling visits now and has good things to say about IL. Stay posted on this one. 7-footer has only hooped for 3 years but is SUPER athletic (kind of like Kofi) and needs to get bigger/stronger etc. More importantly imo, he's tight with Kylan Boswell and is his Center right now at AZ Compass Prep
